Operational continuity for a leading Norwegian Offshore Seismic company

RMI was approached by this company to provide medical support services, including the provision of offshore medics, for two of its vessels deployed in the North Sea. With 59 persons on an ROV Nodal vessel and 36 on a Seismic Source vessel, the RMI medics were focussed on maintaining vigilance across the broad scope over the period of the project.

In preparation for the project, a medical emergency response plan was also instigated by RMI’s global coordination centre. The RMI team also quickly mobilised two highly-qualified medics ready to join the vessels.

During deployment, the medics were responsible for a host of medical services including training key personnel and maintaining a safe working environment. Day-to-day, the medics met KPIs for galley inspections, water testing, training and tracking inventory. Alongside the medics, RMI provided 24/7 topside medical support, and combined all services in a medical support package that was seamlessly integrated into the teams on both vessels.

With no medical incidents during the project, both RMI medics were rated highly on the quality, support and medical culture they ensured on each vessel by the client, for delivering real value in prioritising health and safety for their crews and protecting operational continuity.  The client scored RMI a perfect 100% on the Subcontractor Performance Score Card, rated ‘Outstanding’!
