RMI Chief Operating Officer chairs panel discussion at Ukraine conference in Warsaw

Our Chief Operating Officer, Alex Janzen recently participated in the prestigious International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) Warsaw Conference; which was the largest event attended to date. Joining an international group of delegates, including military experts, panellists, businesses, and government officials, Alex moderated a panel discussion entitled, ‘Ukraine, Six Months Later’.

The Conference, ‘Ukraine and the Changing Landscape of Europe’, brought together the international community to discuss the evolving situation in Ukraine following the Russian invasion and focused on areas of contracted support such as security, energy, training, and logistics.

The event gave organisations the opportunity to participate in useful sessions on issues critical to involved businesses and updated attendees on the current situation in and around Ukraine, with the view to identifying potential contract opportunities and public-private partnerships.

Joining Alex on the ‘Ukraine, Six Months Later’ panel discussion was Ted Terrazas from Chenega, Nick O’Neill from US Department of State CSO, Nick Palmisciano from Save our Allies and Andy Brown from BX3 Solutions.

Speaking about the event, Alex commented: “It was a privilege to be involved in ISOA’s Ukraine Conference in Warsaw, it was great to hear from so many experts in the field. During the panel, we discussed the challenges and opportunities for the public and private sectors as they seek to do more in Ukraine. The panel shared insights into strategic planning, decision making and tactical delivery of operations for businesses seeking to support Ukraine. As the international community prepares to undertake stability operations in the region, employing the right expertise, with a Ukrainian core, to strengthen teams of decision makers will be vital to ensuring a positive lasting legacy is left.”
